Preparations are in full swing for this year's Freakfest, the massive, music-filled party that overtakes State Street on Halloween weekend.
The 2013 event takes place Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m., with indie pop duo Matt & Kim and freestyle rap phenom Chiddy Bang each headlining a stage. Nationally touring artists Lucius, F.Stokes and Watsky will provide support, as will local acts Sexy Ester, Smiley Gatmouth, CRASHprez, Lord of the Fly and DJ *hitmayng.
The UW's student radio station, WSUM, will fill a third stage with local and regional bands. As of press time, this lineup includes Boy Blue, the Sharrows, the Living Statues, and Vic and Gab.
