The Madison Mallards see an opportunity to pull off something big over the summer with the inaugural Pondamonium.
On Thursday, August 9, a recently revived Garbage and lovably insane trippers the Flaming Lips will play at Warner Park's Duck Pond, along with Dum Dum Girls and more.
"We see this as an annual event that will fill a gap in the summer, outdoor music scene in Madison for years to come," Mallards president Vern Stenman says. "The reason we feel good about the show is that there really isn't a big-scale, outdoor event in Madison at this point that features this style of music."
