The Allman Brothers Band will call it a career at the end of 2014, after 45 years together. This makes their latest two-CD, one-DVD set all the more poignant.
Recorded in January at Atlanta's historic Fox Theatre, this concert demonstrates the extent of Gregg Allman's influence, as multiple generations of rock, blues and country artists -- including Jackson Browne, Susan Tedeschi and Martina McBride -- pay tribute with an all-star house band. Extended solos by current Allman Brothers Band members Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes suggest that the legacy is in very capable hands.
