Concerts, lectures and other events relocated to other campus venues for more than two years as Wisconsin Union Theater underwent renovations.
The new and improved Wisconsin Union Theater has been two years in the making. The renovation team worked with Wisconsin Historical Society staff and other experts to ensure that the renovated structure retains its distinguishing architectural features, and designers improved the building's function by adding multipurpose spaces and improving accessibility for visitors with disabilities.
Isthmus Jazz Festival was the venue's first event, and a grand reopening celebration is planned for the weekend of Sept. 12-13. View the gallery for a peek at some of the space's key features.
