Wisconsin Union Theater, the great performing arts series hosted by the UW-Madison, has announced the lineup for its 2012-2013 season. One thing hasn't changed. The live schedule is a typically beguiling mix of jazz, classical, world music and theater.
One thing has changed, though. The Wisconsin Union Theater - that lovely old performance space in Memorial Union - is closed for renovations until fall 2014. That means events in the upcoming schedule are scattered among various campus venues, including Mills Hall, Music Hall, Mitchell Theatre and, in Union South, the Sett and the Marquee. That last one is where screenings in the Travel Adventure Film Series take place.
So next academic year, watch where you're going as you make your way to performances of jazz by Tia Fuller and Ninety Miles Project, classical by Jeffrey Siegel and Joshua Roman, world music by Vusi Mahlasela and Oliver Mtukudzi, and theater by the Acting Company.
