Sun Dec 01 1:30 "Winter Native Plant ID" Bird and Nature Adventure at Cherokee Marsh North Unit - Eva Roos
Join Master Naturalist Eva Roos for a free family and kid friendly guided Plant ID walk to look for native Wisconsin plants and learn how to identify them, even in Winter! Plant guides tend to show green summer foliage and bright flowers. Fortunately, our native Wisconsin prairie wildflowers boast sturdy tall stalks, distinctive leaves and tough flower seed heads that stand up even in winter, making them relatively easy to find - and a fun challenge to identify. Make a winter seed greenhouse and take home some native wildflower seeds!
