Upcoming outings:
Sun Dec 15 1:30 "Winter Solstice Walk" Bird and Nature Adventure Warner Park - Kathlean Wolf and Robin Kling
The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year and marks the return of longer days. Join Naturalists Kathlean Wolf and Robin Kling for a fun free family and kid friendly walk on easy paths along the Warner Pond Lagoon and Warner Woods to the top of Sled Hill. Enjoy the shortest days of the year outdoors and celebrate the return of the sun and longer days! Learn how ancient cultures celebrated the Solstice. What changes do shorter and longer days trigger in nature? What birds, animals and tracks do you see out and about even on the shortest days of the year? Dress warm. We may have a campfire with hot chocolate and smores after the walk.
