Grandparents/Other Relatives as Parents

GRANDPARENTS AND OTHER RELATIVES AS PARENTS:

This is a monthly support and education group, held on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon. Features a guest speaker each month on topics/issues relevant to grandparents and other relatives who are primary caregivers of their grandchildren such as: hearing from attorneys who specialize in grandparent rights and other topics grandparents identify with, including the impact of grief/loss and other traumas on their grandchildren. In addition to these services, a phone Warm Line service is provided that caregivers may utilize to talk to someone, either on the phone or in person.
