Absolutely Art Reception

press release: Absolutely Art is proud to host an Artists' Reception on Friday, February 5, from 3:30p-7p, for five talented artists and one amazing group of students from the West SAIL Program. Join us for a group show featuring artists Alex Connelly, Christian Grooms, Poonam Rao, Rhea Ewing and Tim Sprengelmeyer, Dane Arts Mural Arts (DAMA) and the West SAIL (Students Accelerating In Learning) Students.

During the reception we will have light refreshments from Healthy Food For All of Dane County and local music. Meet the artists, check out this new co-working space and network with some of the best and brightest in Madison!

This past October brought this group of artists together (and 22 other Dane County based artists) for a juried art fair called #DABL (Dane Arts Buy Local) Night Market. This first of its kind event hosted by Dane Arts, was designed as a business to business art fair connecting Dane County based artists and businesses. DABL was produced in partnership with 100state, Absolutely Art and MadCity Bazaar,as well as many community partners.

Eugene Kim, Program Coordinator, Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic for the University of Wisconsin Law School attended the event and reached out to these artists after the event to have them featured in their new location. The brought Absolutely Art on board to assist in the curation and installation of the exhibit and to look ahead to how they can continue to bring in local artists to the space. This is a wonderful example of the power one event can have!

University of Wisconsin Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic recently moved in to a new space located at 1403 University Ave. They now share space with the new co-working space @1403, managed by University Research Park.
