The king of the basement Jon Dee Graham describes Adam Carroll as an "East Texas mystic who just wandered out of the piney woods one day... and writes these incredibly beautiful songs" and he's been covering Carroll's gorgeous "Rice Birds" at recent shows. The Austin Chronicle calls him Austin's best kept secret, while Hayes Carll claims he used to skip his own gigs to go see him. Opening the show will be Adam's wife Chris, a terrific musician in her own right.

What others are saying:
"My first encounter with Adam Carroll was when I helped him make the record "South of Town". He sent me a cassette of his demos. I was blown away by his writing and his delivery.
Sixteen years and several records later, I'm still amazed at everything Adam writes. And his vocals are still so engaging, like I'm listening to my favorite neighbor tell me a story.
I'm proud to be a part of Adam's music.... " -Lloyd Maines-producer/musician
“Among singer-songwriters, Adam Carroll is probably Austin’s best-kept secret. His tunes are marvels of economy; .. constantly inventive and decidedly offbeat .. Live at Flipnotics offers a typically low-key yet inviting overview of his career. With (Producer) Scrappy Jud Newcomb on guitar, he sparkles .. ” -Jim Caligiuri, Austin Chronicle
“Influences ? .. Adam Carroll .. I used to skip my own gigs to go watch him .. by far my favorite, somebody whose writing style I emulated in some ways.” -Hayes Carll, No Depression 2011

What others are saying:
"Chris Carroll's new recording, Trouble & Time, has so many expressions.... just like a human face. Tracks like "Mister" smirk at you while "Dreaming You Up" has a Mona Lisa smile quality to it. Each song emotes such intimate eye contact, just like her live performance, and I don't think Chris will be the first to blink. " - Susan Gibson, Songwriter
"Everything that girl says sounds like a song." - Michael O'Connor, Songwriter
