First Annual “All Wheels Show”
Enjoy a fun packed Saturday on Memorial Weekend in Brooklyn, Wisconsin. The Brooklyn Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an “All Wheels Show” on Saturday May 23 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Legion Park located on Railroad Street; entrance to the park is from South First Street. All Wheels includes cars, motorcycles and tractors plus a Flea/Vendor Market and Antique Tractor Pull.
The non-judged show kicks off at 8:30 am with check-in for the cars, motorcycles and tractors. Entry fee is $5 which includes a dash plaque and an entry for the door prize. There will be a Green County country cruise leaving at 2:00 pm. The Flea Market/Vendor Sales starts at 9:00 am and go to 4:00 pm and if you plan to sell the booth fee is just $20. The Antique tractor pull sponsored by the “Community Antique Tractor Pullers” starts at Noon and goes until all pulls are completed, their prize structure ensures a 70% pay back for smaller classes and $500 top prize for larger classes. The Sno-Hornet snowmobile club will be providing beer sales and Brooklyn/Oregon American Legion will be serving up brats and more, both track side. And last but not least take a chance on our 50/50 cash raffle; only 100 tickets will be sold on site.
The fun in Brooklyn continues on Sunday the 24th at 1:00 pm with the Ribbon Cutting- Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Brooklyn Veterans Memorial located at the West edge of the village on Hwy 92 across from the fire department. There will be recognition of local veterans, music and in the Brooklyn Town hall the Oregon/Brooklyn VFW will be serving food. Also in the hall on display will be the renditions of the Veteran’s Memorial, a traveling display from the Wisconsin Veteran’s Museum- “Working Warriors” those veterans that were not in combat and the Brooklyn Area Historical Society will have a display on Brooklyn’s military.
