Maria's is a new pop-up performance venue. Each event brings together local musicians, artists, authors, and non-profit community organizations. Everyone is welcome.

This is a SECOND CD RELEASE for Cris Plata's new CD, Migration Road. Cris's musical journey passes through folk, country, Americana and Mexican roots music. It's landscape changes from song to song and it will take you on your own journey down that migration road. Cris will also be sharing excerpts from a new book, Cris Plata: From Fields To Stage, written about his life.

Tim Radl is a Madison based photographer and native son of Wisconsin. Though he enjoys shooting an endless range of subject matter, his Wisconsin landscapes and local scenes will be the focus of this event.
Tim is also a part of the local music scene both behind the camera and as a member of several bands. He is a self-employed Land Surveyor by profession, and also enjoys fly fishing, and pizza.

Craig will be reading from his newest book, Love and Happiness: Eros According to Dante, Shakespeare, Jane Austen, and the Rev. Al Green.
A profound meditation on the meaning of eros, the creative and disturbing power usually thought of as romantic love.
Craig is a writer and teacher based in Madison, Wisconsin, where he teaches in the Department of Afro-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin. He believes deeply that education—especially the kind that takes places outside the walls of the classroom—is the key to a healthy democratic society.
