Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson has written two critically acclaimed books that focus on the Black experience in America: Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents and The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration. On Jan. 25 she will be the keynote speaker for UW-Madison's virtual Martin Luther King Jr. symposium. "The work to fulfill Dr. King's vision of racial equality continues today, and Wilkerson is carrying on this work," says Chancellor Rebecca Blank.
