We're holding auditions for Are We Delicious? Double Delicious

Write! Act! Do it all on a one-week, roller coaster ride with a small, super-supportive ensemble of creative people like you.

Choose from 2 days to audition:

• April 19th, 6 pm to 9pm at Broom Street Theater, 1119 Willy St.
• April 23rd 12:30 to 3:30 pm at the Wil-Mar Center, 953 Jenifer St.

Special Instructions: You must be present at the start and for the first hour of the audition. Bring your smart phone or a wifi-enabled laptop. There is a short writing assignment during the audition.

Show Rehearsal period: May 2nd thru May 8th, every day

Four Performances: May 9, 10, 16 and 17 @ 7:30 pm

Performance venue: The Bartell Theater

Are We Delicious? is an ensemble of Madison writer/performers who write, revise, rehearse and perform an original show of short plays in a single week. Everyone writes, everyone acts and no one can rest until the final curtain.

Double Delicious, like the previous 21 Delicious shows, will be written and acted by a supportive ensemble of individuals with an equal share in the outcome. Delicious is a deliberate crisis experience where you and everyone with you conquer a different challenge every day. Writing a short play is probably the greatest challenge, but have no fear, over half of the 80 people who have done the show had never written a play before Delicious. It's a whirlwind experience that will upend your conception of your creative potential.

Are We Delicious? Double Delicious will feature two Delicious ensembles, one performing as Act 1, the other as Act 2. This audition is for the Act 1 ensemble and will be designed and directed by Dana Pellebon. Act 2 will be designed by Matt Sloan and directed by Tony Trout with an invited ensemble.

If you've seen Delicious and wanted to give it a try, if you've done Delicious and want to do it again, if you've never HEARD of the thing, we encourage you to come to the audition. The audition itself is creative and fun and we guarantee you'll have a good time.
