Attend a reception for the Artists in Absentia exhibit, showing at Pinney Library April 5-30, which features art, writing, music, and dramatic work by residents of Oakhill Correctional Institution. The Artists in Absentia exhibit, an initiative of the Oakhill Prison Humanities Project, brings the art of men out from the prison and into dialogue with the community. Bring your questions for Jose Vergara, Exhibition Coordinator, and view a screening of a short documentary about the exhibit’s contributing artists and curators by local filmmaker Marc Kornblatt.
