elebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with this free, all-ages event. Along with interactive activities, exhibits and Korean food, entertainment includes Japanese storytelling in the kamishibai tradition, taiko drumming ensemble Beni Daiko, Zhong Yi Kung Fu Chinese lion dancers. and Hmong traditional dance by Viv Ncaus Dance Troupe.
media release: Everyone is invited to enjoy free admission and a celebration with our local Asian American and Pacific Islander community featuring food, music, art, and dance representing Asian and Pacific Islander culture and traditions. Featuring: Japanese drumming performance by Beni Daiko; Chinese lion dance by Zhong Yi Kung Fu; Hmong dance by Viv Ncaus Dance Troupe; Kamishibai storytelling; authentic Korean cuisine from Sol’s on the Square; your nametag written in Chinese, Japanese, Thai and/or Korean; tabling and hands-on activities with UW student groups …and more!
