Sat Apr 06 2:30 "Migration Magic Walk," meet at the Tenney Park Beach parking lot
Beginning and advanced birders are invited to join Paul Noeldner to look for and learn about migrating Spring birds and their travel stories. Tenney Park provides a popular 'rest stop' for birds heading north. We will take a walk to look and listen for Robins chirping in trees, Cardinals singing territorial songs, and Canada Geese resting on the water and honking in V 's overhead. How far did they go south for the winter, with no plane ticket? How did they find their way back, with no GPS map? Learn to use the Merlin app to identify birds by sight and sound and how to enter your bird sightings on eBird. Bring binocs or a camera if you have one, some kids and adult binocs will be provided.
