May 12: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission will hold a public hearing convening at 7:00 p.m. on May 12, 2022, for the purpose of public input on a proposed amendment to the Dane County Water Quality Plan revising the sewer service area boundary and environmental corridors in the Stoughton Urban Service Area. The proposed amendment is currently in the town of Pleasant Springs, in the City of Stoughton-Yahara River (HUC 12: 070900020903) watershed. It includes the addition of approximately 18 acres of land, including approximately 0.8 acres of proposed environmental corridors for a net of approximately 17.2 developable acres to the Stoughton Urban Service Area. The application request has been posted on the service area amendment page of the CARPC website.

Communities are encouraged to notify potentially affected property owners in their communities about the public hearing. There will also be another opportunity for public comment when the Commission acts on this amendment at the June 9, 2022, Commission meeting. Written comments may be mailed to the CARPC office by May 4, 2022 or may be submitted by e-mail to haleys@capitalarearpc.org by May 11, 2022.
