Capital City 5K
press release: Join National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Capital City 5K for Organ, Tissue & Eye Donation. This celebration of life has become a Madison tradition honoring champions of donation. More than 1,900 families in Wisconsin are hoping that their loved one will get a life-saving transplant. All proceeds go to support the programs and services of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.
The 5K, an USATF certified event, takes place on a beautiful summer evening in Madison. The run/walk begins at twilight (6:30 pm) on Capitol Square, winds along the bike path next to Lake Monona, and ends at Goodman Park with a private pool party.

5:30 p.m.-6:00 Shuttle Buses – Running continuously between Goodman Park and Capitol Square
6:00 p.m. Welcome – Capitol Square 2 East Main Street, Madison
6:30 Race Starts
7:00-9:00 Post-event Pool Party and Gallery of Life Exhibitors – Goodman Park 325 W. Olin Ave
Registration $35 (until July 1), then $40 (until July 21), then $45 (through race day)
