The annual Jazz at Five series wraps up with a double bill of ensembles led by trumpeter Chad McCullough — his eponymous quartet and the UW-Madison Jazz Ensemble All-Stars. Youth bands open both concerts. Find more info at jazzatfive.org.

media release: We have reached another summer, and the season for live outdoor jazz is fast approaching. We are excited to announce that we will be returning to McKee Park in Fitchburg on August 3 and 10, after an enjoyable concert series hosted there last summer.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be returning to the top of State Street, after two years away! Our concerts there will take place on August 17, 24, and 31. We hope to see both new and familiar faces at both venues.

The Jazz at Five kicks off each Wednesday evenings show:

• 4:00 – 4:30 with youth jazz performers. As a courtesy to our youth; beverage service starts at 4:30 (Aug. 17-31 shows only)
• 5:00 – 6:15 first performers, beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverage can be purchased
• 6:45 – 8:00 second performing group. Done by 8:00 in time for dinner downtown
