Check Out Voting
to
With four critical elections in 2016 and the first just weeks away (Feb 16), a coalition of local groups with a mission of educating Wisconsinites about the new voter ID laws has organized a voter education and registration event at all Madison public libraries (including Oregon, Stoughton and Verona Public libraries) from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 23. “Check Out Voting,” organized by the Dane County Voter ID Coalition, will feature a special voter area at each library staffed by Special Registration Deputies (individuals who can register voters) with information on the new voter ID laws and more. This event is organized with the assistance and support of the Madison City Clerk and the Madison Public Libraries.
Anyone who has never voted in Wisconsin or who has moved since they last voted will need to register. Proof of Residence (address) will be required when registering. To check your current registration go to https://myvote.wi.gov/. For information about what is required for registering and voting go towww.cityofmadison.com/
