media release: With their unique combination of vocal, instrumental, songwriting and composing/arranging skills, Common Chord creates a delightful and amazing sonic palette. Their repertoire features vocal-centric tunes with three- and four-part harmonies, toe-tapping swingy numbers, folk and bluegrass-flavored pieces, bluesy tunes, acoustic rock/pop songs and more...something for everyone, with appeal to audiences of all ages. This show will include some originals from each of three writers in the group plus unique covers from the likes of the Beatles, Paul Simon, George Gershwin, Bob Dylan, and others...plus a few Halloween-themed tunes. Instruments used will include guitars, bass, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, clarinet, bass clarinet, cigar box guitar, and hand percussion. Free one-hour concert, open to the public.
