Singer-songwriter Cory Chisel put Appleton on the map in 2013 when he started the great Mile of Music festival. With his backing band, the Wandering Sons, Chisel has served up gospel-inspired folk rock everywhere from Glastonbury to Bonnaroo to late-night TV. He was nominated for a Grammy in February for “The Traveling Kind,” a song he co-wrote with Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris.
