press release: Madison's queerest, trashiest, punkiest duo is pleased as punch to announce the impending arrival of a bouncing bundle of musical goodness, THE EPP TAPE, out May 5, 2019!
Damsel Trash is the queer feminist punk project of Meghan Rose and Emily Mills, both longtime gadflies of the local (and now NYC as well) music scene. The EPP Tape is their third independent release, and chalk-full of the irreverent and catchy-as-hell trash punk for which they've become something of a cult favorite, if they do say so themselves. Songs cover important topics like what not to put in your mouth, a celebration of hugging, how much Trump sucks, bicycle safety, and Vine (R.I.P.) jokes.
The first single from the new record, "No FOMO," is a tribute to staying home at night. Check out the track at their Bandcamp site, where it's available for streaming or download. You can also listen via Spotify, iTunes, and various other streaming sites. (note for media/radio: holler and we'll send you tracks directly for review and/or streaming share)
The full album will drop online and in person on Sunday, May 5, with a release party at the High Noon Saloon at 7:30 p.m. and featuring local dark metal heads TUBAL CAIN and surf-punkers VENUS IN FURS. Expect some surprise guests, actual fire, and snacks, too!
A follow-up release party will be held for East Coast friends on Thursday, June 27, at Coney Island Baby - in tandem with NYC Pride and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, because QUEER PUNKS RUN THIS TOWN.
