Dave Bayles, Russ Johnson & Clay Schaub

Drummer Dave Bayles is a regular behind the kit in many ensembles, including groups led by pianists Dave Stoler and Mark Davis. Bayles' own current trio also features veteran bassist Clay Schaub and trumpeter Russ Johnson, a longtime leader in the New York City jazz scene now based in the Midwest as director of jazz studies at UW-Parkside. The trio hits Madison ahead of the release of a new album (Live at the Uptowner) courtesy of BlueStem Jazz.
