Day of the Girl

Tween and teen girls ages 12-18 from across Greater Madison are invited to the 1st Annual Day of the Girl Empowerment Event hosted by the Foundation for Black Women's Wellness on Saturday, October 15th, 2016, 12:00 - 4:00pm at the Meadowood Community Center.  

Join us for an inspiring and energizing day of "girlpower" led by Foundation staff ad special guest host K Love the Poet, national spoken word artist and Founder & CEO of "Treat Me Like a Queen" Empowerment Workshops. Young women will be led through lively and creative activities to tap into their dreams, uncover their talents, celebrate their beauty, and boldly embrace their unique gifts.

Admission is free, but registration is required at www.dayofthegirl2016.eventbrite.com . Limited seating.

Participants must be promptly picked up by 4:00pm.
