Renda Morton is an Executive Director of Product Design at The New York Times. She co-leads the Times’ Beta team creating new digital products and services which help the Times’ readers live fuller, more culturally-rich lives. The team’s portfolio includes Cooking, Crosswords, Watching, Real Estate, Well and The Wirecutter. Before moving to the Beta team, Renda lead the design, user experience and strategy teams for NYTimes.com.
Previously, Renda founded and ran a small, multi-disciplinary design studio called Rumors where she worked on design projects for print, screen and the built environment.
Before moving to New York ten years ago, Renda lived in The Hauge, Netherlands and worked on physical interactive media projects at the small design studio Lust. Renda has a BFA in Interactive Media from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
