BOTANICAL BOOGIE -Dance-style concert, limited seating

Currently celebrating its 40th anniversary of entertaining audiences throughout Dane County and beyond, this group of amateur musicians is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of classic big band music of the ‘30s, ‘40s, and early ‘50s.  You are going to hear the musical arrangements of the great bands of the past as well as new arrangements that give a new twist to standard pieces.  Currently led by Dr. Patricia Backhaus, here is Dimensions In Sound.

Enjoy a winter Sunday at Olbrich with musical performances in our Evjue Commons. All Winter Concerts are traditional theatre-style seating with the exception of our Botanical Boogie dance concerts.

In 2017, all of Olbrich's Winter Concerts will require a $2 admission fee per person.

In support of Madison’s local musicians the concert performance fees have been increased to match standard rates. An admission fee becomes necessary to maintain this series as a fundraiser for the Gardens. Your contributions are greatly appreciated!
