Disney’s classic movie Beauty and the Beast got the Broadway treatment three years after its theatrical release, debuting in New York in 1994 to critical acclaim. Nearly 22 years later, the production is still vital, bringing Belle and the beast’s tangled story of imprisonment and love to audiences across the country. Bonus: UW grad Christiaan Smith-Kotlarek plays the dastardly Gaston.
