Downtown Block Party

The Sun Prairie Business Improvement District invites the public to kick off the summer season at Cannery Square during the 10th Anniversary Block Party, Saturday, June 20, from 11am – 8 pm. Featuring local and regional musical acts, family friendly activities, food sales from local restaurants, and beer vending provided by the Sun Prairie Lions Club, all without a cover charge!

Entertainment lineup:

11 am: Modern Mod, a local Sun Prairie alternative rock sensation

noon:  David Landau will join us to entertain the youngsters

1 pm: Sun Prairie’s Soggy Prairie Boys will be playing their striking Bluegrass tunes

3 pm: The antics of Wild Rumpus Circus entertain families with their circus show; immediately following the show they will host a circus school for the children to try their hands at clowning around!

3:30 pm: Madison’s Hometown Sweethearts will entertain the crowds with their music lovers’ party band style.

6 pm: Wrapping up the evening is the Chicago Afrobeat Project is redefining their signature version of Afrobeat by incorporating elements of hip-hop, orchestra-like musical arrangement, and stylistic explorations of rock, jazz and funk.

The Downtown Sun Prairie Block Party has plenty of family-friendly activities throughout the day as well! Kids activities run from 11am-4pm and include: the Boulders Gym Climbing Wall, a Sun Prairie Media Center Kids4 Face Painting fundraiser, a Bounce House, Doodlebug the Clown.
