media release: Milwaukee noise rock trio Primitive Broadcast Service plays their first ever show in Madison this Saturday June 22 at Mickey's Tavern, 1524 Williamson w/ DUG (Minneapolis) and local support from Headwar.
Music starts at 10pm. Suggested donation of $5 to $10 at the door.
The headliner is DUG, an experimental noise/doom duo from Minneapolis: Travis Kuhlman (drums) and Mike Baillie (guitar). DUG focuses on minimal, repetitive riffs driven by pummeling drum beats. ... PRIMITIVE BROADCAST SERVICE (PBS) Correspondents from the dissonant sprawl of terrible times, their 2021 album Colors for Chameleons was hailed "a noise rock classic" (@ntxnoise for Caterwaul.org). .... Angular, feedback-driven and prone to skronk, they're playing new material from their unreleased 3rd LP, Monsters. They've toured the midwest and are two-time Caterwaul invitees but this will be their debut in Madison.
