press release: Eco-Action Tuesdays, a program series based on the “ripple effect” that begins in our own backyards and which explores sustainability issues through entertaining hands on learning and presentations, is pleased to announce its November 22, 2016, program all about “Eating Local Throughout the Wisconsin Winter” at 6:30 at the Monona Public Library, 1000 Nichols Rd.!
We are well into fall, and soon, winter will be upon us! Discover and learn more about the variety of options available for seeking out and selecting locally grown and produced food during the upcoming winter months, including the Dane County Winter Farmers’ Market, our locally owned and operated co-ops, grocery stores and other businesses. If you are serious about eating locally sourced food and sustainability, this delicious program is for you! There will also be free refreshments and samples, as well as locally baked pies that you could win as door prizes!
Sarah Elliott is the Manager for the Dane County Farmer’s Market. Sarah will be accompanied by Danielle Woods from Snug Haven Farm!
