EARLESS CRAFTERS
Welcome to a summer of Fearless Crafting! Let your crafting flag fly high! Our popular Fearless Crafters program features whimsical, recycled and cost-effective approaches to your muse within. We bring the materials, you bring the imagination. This program is amazingly free (thanks to the Friends of the Monona Library) but supplies and seats are limited, so be sure to register in advance. For adults and older teens. See our website or join our mailing list for updates. Select Wednesdays at 6 pm. Some of these programs are messy, so wear your crafting clothes!
July 22: Veggies, veggies, everywhere. Here’s another way that vegetables are good for you—as design tools! We will be making beautiful giftable tea towels using bounty from the produce stand, fabric paint, and kitchen towels. Or you might want to decorate a tee-shirt or canvas bag (tea towels will be provided; please bring anything else you want to decorate). You will never look at lettuce leaves the same way again….
August 12: Deck the wrists (and neck and fingers). Back by popular demand-- Guest artist Cathy Lawson will work with Jen Falkowski to help you repurpose and recycle everything from hardware fixings to out of style fashion jewelry into a beautiful and unique piece of jewelry. Nuts and bolts and rhinestones never looked more stylish…. Techniques for making earrings and necklaces will be explored. Get ready to wow your jewelry box!
