2017 Global Health Symposium: "For Our Planet. For Our Health."

The annual Global Health Symposium at the UW-Madison is a showcase for global health projects from across the campus and community. Tim Ford, UMass-Amherst and the PAHO Foundation, will discuss significant challenge to clean water worldwide and in the United States in his keynote address for this year’s Global Health Symposium, “For Our Planet. For Our Health.” Karen Solheim from the School of Nursing will lead a closing panel looking at the changing U.S. refugee policies and how they impact refugee health. More than 50 members of the UW-Madison community from across disciplines will share oral and poster presentations of their global health work, from how satellites can advance air quality and public health to infection control, women and agriculture in Ghana to links between human and lake health at Lake Victoria.
