Haunted Trail

press release: Every fall, dedicated DCHS volunteers transform our outside walking paths into one of Dane County's spookiest haunted trails. With new ghouls and ghosts each year, and a growing reputation, this event lures hundreds of thrill seekers to our Main Shelter each year! 

On Saturday afternoons, we will also offer a family-friendly trick-or-treat event. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a fall hike while showing off creative costumes, and the kids will love meeting friendly monsters and villains along the trail. Be sure to head out to our Main Shelter before the spooky season is over!

Saturday, October 14, 21 & 28, 2017: Kids' Matinee (Trick-or-Treat): 2:00 - 5:00 PM; Adults Only: 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Admission:  Kids $5/ Adults $10

• We do not recommend children under the age of 12 attend the Haunted Trail between the hours of 6:00 - 9:00 PM due to increased fear factors (but it is up to parental discretion).

• There is no pre-sale for tickets. Tickets can be bought directly from our ticket booth at the event.

• This event is weather dependent. Please check back prior to the event to see if the festivities are still being held.
