Health Care, Crime and Climate
press release: With the 2016 election fast approaching, faculty members from the University of Wisconsin-Madison are hosting a series of town hall meetings around Wisconsin and in the Twin Cities to talk about the issues.
The events are sponsored by UW-Madison's La Follette School of Public Affairs and Department of Political Science along with the Wisconsin Alumni Association. The cost for the public is $10 per person and includes light refreshments. A cash bar will be available. The sessions will begin with registration at 6:30 p.m., followed by a moderated panel discussion at 7 p.m., question-and-answer period at 8 p.m., and post-discussion reception at 8:30 p.m.
Susan Yackee of the La Follette School of Public Affairs will moderate a discussion about health care, crime and climate on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Sheraton Madison Hotel, 706 John Nolen Dr. Panelists will be Jason Fletcher, professor of public affairs, Greg Nemet, associate professor of public affairs and environmental studies, and Cecelia Klingele, associate professor of law.
