media release: HORNZZ began out of a love of JAZZ: Improvisation, Creativity, and an Awesome Groove. HORNZZ also came from a love of exceptional musicianship and “tight as a fist” ensemble playing.

They play arrangements for unaccompanied horns drawn from the repertoire and inspiration of the group Hornheads. With the addition of our rhythm section we play the music of the late 1940’s/1950’s “Cool” and “West Coast” midsize ensembles, as well as more modern arrangements in straight ahead, fusion, funk and Latin styles of jazz.
