Joseph Salmons, co-founder of the Center for the Study of Upper Midwestern Cultures, will explore conceptions and misconceptions about language and immigration, including the presenter's own and the audience's, and how faculty and students at UW-Madison are working to better understand immigrant language issues in Wisconsin history.
