media release: May 9 is the first evening of summer dancing at Vilas Park! Weather looks to be cool, so dress accordingly. The large Shelter is at west end of Vilas Park in a huge meadow between the lagoon & Lake Wingra. To drive in, come west on Vilas Park Drive from around St. Mary's Hospital.
6:00 - 6:40 Teaching for new & returning dancers. Dances we often do with attention to general skills.
6:40 – 7:00 Steve & Joan teach Israeli Se'e Yona created by Moshiko.
7:00 - 9:50 Request dancing with DJ (plus a little live music). Mostly line & circle dances of E. Europe. First hour is especially user-friendly with plenty of hints, hacks, & cues. Try things – folks will help! Can always follow behind, jump in/out as you like. Watching is fine. Come & go as you please.
