It's Summer, Let's Sew
Pinney Library 516 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53716
Join us for a sewing class at Pinney Library this summer. This class is geared toward the beginner and intermediate sewers, who already have a working familiarity with their own (working!) sewing machine and would like to get back into sewing. In August we’ll be reviewing some machine basics and constructing decorative, burrito style pillowcases. Great for taking off to school or as a gift for a recent grad who’d love a reminder of home!
Please bring:
Your own working sewing machine; Thread New sewing machine needles; Fabric (For each pillow case bring 1 yard of your main fabric and two, ¼ yard pieces for contrasting fabric. Double this amount if you’d like to make a pair of cases.); Scissors; Seam ripper; Bobbins for your machine; Measuring tape; Pins
Library will provide: Ironing station; Cords for backpacks; Extension cords; Good lighting
The Bubbler program is supported by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
