Jai Jagat
press release: On Thursday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m., Madison residents have the opportunity for an exceptional theatrical experience, created by Manav Sadhna and Nimo Patel. Presented at Madison East High School, Jai Jagat, loosely translated to “Victory of the World,” allows these 17 underprivileged children from Ahmedabad to share their stories, as well as the messages of human rights crusaders Gandhi, Malala, and more. The show features music, dance, poetry, drama, children from Madison schools alongside the performers from India, and - most importantly - a deeper intention to plant seeds of love and hope for a more beautiful world and future.
The Project Director, Nimesh “Nimo” Patel, was born and raised in the U.S. and has spent the past nine years serving in Ahmedabad at Manav Sadhna. He is passionate about using the arts to plant seeds of love in underprivileged children, and he has successfully done this the past two years on visits to Madison’s Lincoln, Marquette, Lapham, and Gompers Elementary Schools. His positive energy is palpable, his music is beautifully infectious, and his work transcends the ordinary.
Jai Jagat lasts for 90 minutes, tickets are available for advance purchase, and Nimo stresses that no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The evening will be an extraordinary celebration of hope, love, gratitude, music, and all that connects and inspires the human experience. Nimo says, “Along with mentors from Manav Sadhna, these 17 children take a journey, against their odds, to share the most important messages of our time: love and oneness.”
