Job Extravaganza Career Fair

press release: The Urban League of Greater Madison will host the fsecond Job Extravaganza Career Fair in Elver Park Thursday, June 6, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Nearly 30 employers representing a wide range of industries and job types have signed up to participate such as American Family Insurance, UnityPoint Health-Meriter, Bell Laboratories, and many others. There is no cost for job seekers to attend.

The Urban League is hosting the event as part of its growing partnership with the City of Madison to bring more employment and training services to the Park Edge/Park Ridge and surrounding South and Southwest Madison neighborhoods. Last year, with financial support from the City the Urban League opened up an employment and training center at 658 S. Gammon Road. The Gammon Road location is temporary site until the City of Madison completes renovations at the former Griff's Restaurant on McKenna Blvd. (just across from Elver Park) to turn it into Madison's first neighborhood-based employment & training center.
