John 5
John 5 may have toured the world playing guitar with David Lee Roth, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and most recently Mötley Crüe (for which he replaced original guitarist Mick Mars), but he’s also an in-demand session player and established solo artist with an extensive discography. While the Crüe are off the road for most of September, John 5 booked a short solo tour that will bring him to Madison for a performance that should make heavy guitar fans drool. Kenosha rockers Lines of Loyalty and Turning Jane, an all-female band from Los Angeles, open.
media release: Guitar phenom John 5 is heading back out on the road this fall for a solo tour, showing off his incredible skills that have made him one of the most in-demand axe men on the planet.
He visits Madison on September 10 at Majestic Theater.
These solo dates come in between shows with Mötley Crüe planned for 2024 and are the chance to see John 5's talent up close and personal. His latest masterpiece, "A Hollywood Story" was released in June and gives a look into his life and career. The track and accompanying video details John 5’s incredible journey, from picking up his first guitar at the age of 7 to recording acclaimed solo material and touring the world with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Rob Halford and – currently – Mötley Crüe.
Says John 5 of the song, "’A Hollywood Story’ is a look back on my career and how lucky I am to have had the experiences that I've had. When you’re a little kid, in your room, dreaming of your future, I never could’ve dreamt of what has happened to me in real life. I’m so appreciative and so happy. So go after your dreams whatever they may be."
