press release: B-roll straddles the border between documentary and fictional visual storytelling. The narrative focuses on the Absurd. The main character attempts to do the impossible and then does the improbable. This work highlights the tensions produced by polarity: humor and sadness, fantastical and everyday, and loss and gain. The narrative includes a woman struggling with an orange juice container. The footage is shot on old 16mm film stock with an Arriflex SR II. This exhibition is curated by Claire MacDonald.
