Hausmann-Johnson will donate all proceeds of this event to directly benefit Madison-area children living with life-threatening medical conditions. Ten-year-old Kaden Stark had his wish to go to Walt Disney World® Resort granted in 2011, and his wish experience inspired him to give back. Motivated by Kaden’s selfless spirit, Hausmann-Johnson Insurance hopes to raise enough funds to grant the wishes of four local children like six-year-old Jillianne (Jilly) of Janesville. Jilly wishes to go to Walt Disney World® Resort in October where she and her family will have a joy-filled break from frequent medical appointments, treatments and hospitalizations. Jilly has a brain malformation that has made her journey through life very difficult at times, but her outlook on life could not be brighter. To Jilly’s family, including her four siblings who have been supportive and loving throughout her journey, the Make-A-Wish experience will provide the entire family with hope, strength, and joy. Jilly and her family will be at the tailgate event to share their story.
Make-A-Wish Wisconsin grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Wishes are a special type of medicine that give children a break from doctors' visits, hospital stays and treatments, and provide a ray of hope during difficult times. Nearly 5,300 families across the state have experienced the healing power of a wish since 1984, and 356 wishes were granted by the Wisconsin Chapter last year alone.
