Peer into landscapes containing intricate whimsy. Karen Loper visually reinterprets her world. Accused of “shopping in the woods” as a child, now years later, Loper is found “shopping” in the wastebaskets at work, effectively interrupting trash. Rescued labels, sticker scraps, and pesky address labels from charity request mailings find new life in her collages. The landscapes will catch your eye from a distance and as you approach, the compositions reveal words combined into trees, birds, and flowers.
