A Dateline program in April 2015 highlighted autistic kids and their lives after they “age out” of school at 21, now adults. A sobering 80% will live at home with their parents, in almost every situation this is a crisis for everyone involved. Author Kim Starr will share some insights discovered during the course of their life with their 20 year old daughter Sedona. "She is autistic and sees and hears ghosts, to say this has complicated her life, and ours as a family, is a monumental understatement." From the initial diagnosis at age 8 in 2003 Kim will take us through her family's story and as she says "We want to pay it forward, to help autistic kids and their families, just as we have been helped over and over again during the past 20 years."
