Since 1993, Dairyland Cowboys and Cowgirls has hosted scores of country dances, with instructions, canoe trips, rodeo trips, dance invitational trips, potlucks, and rural barn dances around Wisconsin. They are a community based collective dedicated to the promotion of and the greater awareness of country-western dancing in a safe environment without discrimination based on race, gender or sexual orientation. Their current repertoire includes:
- Two-Step
- Line
- Circle
- Swing
Dairyland Cowboys and Cowgirls are coming to the Senior Alliance on Thursday, January 24, to demonstrate the different styles of country western dancing and then to give audience participants an opportunity to see how simple and easy it is to do them for themselves. No previous experience or western wear are required.
Dance lessons for all skill levels are given every Monday night (5pm-10pm) at Five Nightclub located at 5 Applegate Court, Madison. They also dance on the 1st Friday of each month at the same venue.
Enjoy an evening of friends, food and fun! A catered meal will be served at 6:00 pm.
To cover food and other expenses, a donation of $10.00 is requested; $5.00 for low-income.
