Locally Grown, Nationally Known
press release: On Wednesday, May 1, we’re hosting our annual, online event celebrating the link between sustainable production and the grassroots activism of the Chapter.
This year during our Locally Grown, Nationally Known event we’ll take a virtual journey together to meet with some Wisconsin producers who not only share our vision of sustainability, but have put it into action!
Our Guests:
Just Veggiez-Modern, flavorful, soulful, vegan restaurant in Madison
Madeline Island Candles-Featuring handmade candles, each created from natural materials, La Pointe
Oshkosh Food Co-op-A community-owned grocery store featuring fresh, local, organic options in Oshkosh’s central city.
Green Homeowners United-A unique organization ready to help your home fight climate change. West Allis
Love Tree Farmstead Cheese-Producers of sheep milk cheese, and dry aged “European” style grass fed organic lamb that uses guardian dogs to protect their herd. Grantsburg
Sustainable production and a healthy environment go hand in hand. So let’s all come together online for an evening of fun and celebration. It’s a great way to show your support for the work being done by our issue campaign teams, while learning how our featured guests are doing their part to be responsible stewards of the earth.
We’ll also play some trivia and share some favorite recipes.
So, please join us for this tasty, entertaining event. Admission is free, and there will be opportunities to donate throughout the evening to support the work of the Chapter. Donors will receive a special collection of recipes contributed by our special guests and Sierra Club staff and volunteers.
Attendance is free of charge. Opportunities to donate will be shared throughout the evening. Or make your gift in advance at https://teamsierrawi.rallybound.org/LGNK2024
