Madison Garden Marathon
press release: The third annual Madison Garden Marathon, 4 mile starts in the beginning of autumn around scenic lake Monona. The race starts at Olbrich Park. The marathon and half marathon is mostly around the lake's edge. The course is mostly on flat roads with a few hills. It is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon, for those of you who are competitive. All races are timed. New this year pacer runners to help reach your running goals. Two free beers after the race to those who are of age. Free fruit, cookies and chocloate milk to the finishers. Lots of great prizes. Shoes from Endurance House to the top male and female runners. Age prizes and cash prizes to the top winners. Performance shirts and finisher medals to all runners. Children is strollers not eligible for prizes.
Come and join us to help prevent child abuse in the community. By participating, children's books are being donated to Elementary Schools, Daycares and Libraries. The children's books teach children how to identify child abuse, Internet safety, stranger danger and bulling. These books incourage children to report abuse and talk about their feelings with others.
The Marathon and the Half marathon starts at 8 am. The 4 mile starts at 8:15 am. Fast runners line up first. New this year Pacers. If you know how fast you can run stand next to the time you think you can finish in, or the minutes per mile. If you are doing a half marathon just decrease the overall time to half. Shirt and Packet pick up is Friday 9/25/15 at Endurance House in Middleton Wisconsin. ( 1-6 pm) Packet and shirt pick up is also available the day of the race from 6:30-7:30 am. Day of race registration is not recomended but is avaliable. Shirts and packets are available to be mailed for a small fee. No refunds except if race is cancelled due to dangerous weather.
